Red Thirst (Dark Eldar Tantalus)

I finished up painting one of my hardest projects, a Dark Eldar Tantalus, the biggest model in my over 7500pts worth of Dark Eldar. It’s called ‘Red Thirst’, and is the personal sail barge of High Archon Cerberus Darksoul of the Kabal of the Screaming Skull.

I’ve always wanted a giant, Jabba’s Sail Barge style model for my motley crew of alien mercenaries to party on, and this doesn’t disappoint as a centrepiece for the army. I had to build my own stand for it as the regular GW hover stand definitely doesn’t cut it for a model the size of a Baneblade. Taking a dremel to a flimsy miniature that costs over 200 bucks is definitely stressful (I made my dad do it.)

While nowhere near a professional level, it’s definitely one of my best paint jobs, and I can’t wait to do some reaving with it in some upcoming battle reports!
